If you join our team, you will play a key role not only within RSK Wilding but also in the wider Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)-affiliated RSK Biocensus ecological consultancy. You will be involved in winning work, delivering excellent outcomes (whether through survey work, report writing, project management or technical advice), providing leadership and support to colleagues and leading by example.

The key skills, attributes and experience we are looking for are as follows.
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of habitat-focused interventions, in particular at a landscape scale
- Skilled botanists (ideally FISC Level 4, minimum Level 3) with demonstrable knowledge of a range of habitat types, including rare and priority habitats
- Experience in the use and interpretation of the Statutory Biodiversity Metric (SBM)
- Experience in designing bespoke habitat creation and enhancement measures, including in consultation with statutory bodies
- Excellent self-motivation, initiative, time-management and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm, energy and drive to develop skills and deliver projects to the highest standard
- A good understanding of client needs and drivers and how these differ between sectors, and being able to build and retain ‘trusted adviser’ client relationships
- Significant experience of delivering consultancy to a range of clients, working directly for clients and meeting their expectations
- Being comfortable and confident when communicating with clients and coordinating responses to their requests for services
- Line management experience (for more senior staff)
- Excellent report-writing skills, including BNG design stage reports, biodiversity gain plans, BNG feasibility studies, habitat management and monitoring plans and tenders
- Full driving licence
- Appropriate membership of CIEEM (or equivalent), dependent on grade or eligibility if not currently held (full membership for senior ecologists or principal ecologists working towards chartership)
