Mark is a Chartered Ecologist with a particular specialism in habitat surveys and assessments. He started his career undertaking a phase 1 survey for Countryside Council for Wales – which was a horribly long time ago! Mark’s focus at the moment is on solar farms, ensuring that their designs are biodiversity-led and that they deliver demonstrable benefits to biodiversity as well as helping achieve our national carbon reduction targets. Being an ecologist of a certain age, Mark now only works four days a week, assisting the National Trust locally with a nature recovery project on the beautiful Cotswold escarpment in Stroud.
